BARREN

A broken lampshade leaves a barren light bulb in the living room.

This really has to be looked at large to see what a nice job you did with the exposure. The bright bulb has lost none of its details.

I'm fascinated by this picture. For one thing, the exposure is just perfect. How you managed to dothat without getting the light bulb blown out is amazing. And then the composition--setting it off to the side that way, to bring out the fact that this IS light in the darkness. Recently I read a book called, "Briliant." It was a history of artifical lighting. This would make a perfect cover.
