ROADSIDE

Hoar frost covers weeds in a roadside ditch.
I think it looks deceptively beachy, like white sand dunes and dune grass. I can assure you, though, that just over the crest there is no expansive ocean glistening under that blue sky, only a snow covered field of corn stubble.

I love these when they get all frosty. I'm too chicken to pull over on the interstate and photograph them, though. Too cold, too! :-P

This is really just a beautiful image...it doesn't even make me feel that cold looking at it...you are right, it does looks like glistening sand!

That powdered blue sky looks almost like what a studio photographer would use as a background! Sure makes the weather worn plants stand out.
