AND THE SIGN SAYS...

I'm guessing this particular real estate investment didn't pay off.

*About the oddly painted door...  This trompe l'oeil type painting is common through the Over The Rhine neighborhood.  You see buildings in ruins with the boarded up doors and windows painted in this style.  An attempt at urban renewal I suppose and a hope that brightening the surroundings will brighten the future.

Don't know how you can say that! Someone with great colour sense has painted that door!

although they did a lovely job of fixing up the door ;-)

The door looks good but that's not the real paint, is it?

The hopefully painted door stands as contrast against the tattered sign that implies failure.

I'm fascinated by trompe l'oeil. And this one really is tricking my eyes - are both the fĂȘnetre and the porte on the lower level fake?

I hope you'll show us more of this artwork...

That is one tall door. It would be cool if some developer came in and fixed up this area, it looks like it has a lot of personality!
