Aashirwad(Blessing) Married women from the family bless the bride by whispering a blessing in her right ear. Some of the whispered remarks elicited a lot of giggling between the young women.
I'd love to know what some of them are saying. I remember going to a bachelorette party and they asked everybody to write their favorite recipe on an index card. Mine said "Number One Chinese Garden" (our local delivery place) with their phone number. It got a big laugh.
